A green oasis in the centre of Bangkok, 42-Tee-Off Driving Range is a favourite amongst both local and international golfers looking for a bit of relaxation. The driving range consists of 44 bays where you can let off some steam and swing your golf clubs to your heart's content. The range is a two-story complex, with 22 astro-turf bays on each level, each with an automatic machine. Yard markers are 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, and 200. The length of the driving range is over 200 yards with netting and many targets to practice to. A tray of 40 balls as at 1 June 2013, cost 70 bht, with discounts the more trays you buy. There is a restaurant facility, a golf shop selling golf equipment, as well as short term rental at the range. There is even free WiFi for guests.
On arrival, there are caddies at the entrance and they will assist you by directing you to your bay, they will fetch your trays of golf balls and set them up as required. It is normal practice to tip these caddies for their service. On completion of your practice, the same caddy will then wish to clean your clubs, sort out your bag and assist you to the exit. Again a small tip is expected.
If you want to expand your golfing skills further, there is a putting green next to the driving range. It is also possible to arrange lessons at the driving range with qualified teaching professionals, both Thai & international.
