Lumpini Park

Bangkok

Temples & Parks

A trip to Bangkok deserves a stroll at the beautiful and vast Lumpini Park, especially if you had a long day of sightseeing and shopping. Being one of the largest open public parks in the capital of Thailand, Lumpini Park features many tree-lined paths and greenery, playgrounds and an artificial lake where travellers can get a boat for an hour or two. If you are into jogging, this is the right place to come, however cycling is permitted only before 10 am and after 3 pm.

Lumpini Park was formed as such in the 1920s and here are placed the first public library in the city and a nice dance hall. During the winter here is organized an annual classical music festival. Lumpini Park is placed in the center of Bangkok main business area, opposit Silom.
